Meet Amma
Hello and welcome!
I'm Amma Gatty, a compassionate Family Life Educator and Coach. My journey in the field of family life coaching began with a Graduate Certificate in Family Life Education and Coaching from North Carolina State University. In addition to my coaching certification, I proudly hold membership in both the National Parent Education Network and the Family Life Coaching Association. These affiliations allow me to stay at the forefront of the latest developments in the field of parenting and family life education, as well as connect with fellow professionals who share a commitment to enhancing family well-being. I'm also honored to be a Gottman Leader and an Active Parenting Leader. These roles have allowed me to cultivate a deep understanding of family dynamics and effective strategies for nurturing strong bonds.
I am also the founder of a nonprofit organization called Culture Encounters, our mission is to ignite cultural curiosity, knowledge, and appreciation using the arts, shared experiences, and dialogue as tools. With over a decade of experience working closely with children and their families, both as a parent and through my nonprofit work, along with my contributions to children's ministries and my role as a teacher in an independent all-boys school, I have gained valuable insights into the joys and challenges of family life.
Having embarked on my own journey from Ghana to the USA and raising a family with my husband, I intimately comprehend the hurdles and triumphs of parenting in a foreign land. This personal experience fuels my passion for assisting migrant, missionary, military, and expat families in not just surviving, but thriving in their new cultural environments. I am genuinely excited to collaborate with you on your family's unique journey, and I am committed to providing the support and guidance you need to create a flourishing life for your loved ones.
